
LLB (Hons) Law with Foundation Year
Course Overview
Our four-year LLB Law with Foundation Year programme will provide you with the professional competencies of functioning legal knowledge and applied skills as required for the solicitors qualifying examination to become a solicitor in England and Wales. It also satisfies the academic stage of training to become a barrister and allows you to proceed to the vocational state of training.
This course offers many flexible study options, meaning you can choose which style of learning suits your lifestyle better, whether that is at weekends, evenings or during the daytime. Unlike many other Law degrees, this course is taught in small group sizes, giving you the individual attention and support needed for success.
Alongside the course, we invite all RCL students to learn about Thinking into Character ™ – our unique personal, leadership and growth programme, designed to teach you how to manage and lead yourself effectively to be successful in all aspects of
your personal and professional life.
​Entry Requirements
A minimum of two GCE A2-level passes (or equivalent), including any subjects and five GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent), including English
IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent), in cases where English is not your first language.
Alternative assessment: For mature students (those over 21 years old), or those requiring an alternative kind of assessment:
You must take part in an academic interview to demonstrate your non-academic achievements, such as work experience.
